From Fortaleza to Aracati or Majorlândia and back
The São Benedito bus company has
several daily direct buses to Aracati from the central Fortaleza bus station (Rodoviária).
See timetable below. In Aracati, take a cab, alternative transport or a bus of the Via Litorânea departing from the "Praça da Comunicação". See details below.
There is also one daily bus that goes Majorlândia, the neighbour beach of Quixaba (Departure at 08:30 AM from Fortaleza and 12:30 AM from Majorlândia). There are three km from Majorlândia to Quixaba: you can take a van (topic) or mototaxi to Quixaba.
During high season it is recommended to buy your tickets in advance.
From Fortaleza to Aracati and back

From Aracati to Quixaba and back
The Via Litorânea local bus company has a daily connection between Aracati and Quixaba via Majorlândia departing every 30 minutes from 6:00 AM till 5:00 PM from the "Praça da Comunicação" (commonly called "Praça da Caixa de Água) at about 7 minutes from the bus station.
There
are 17 km from Aracati to Quixaba. You can simply catch a taxi from the bus station (15.- to 20.- R$)
or, cheaper, a van (Topic) departing from opposite the Matriz
Church (a bit far from the bus station).

Fortaleza Airport
The Pinto Martins International
Airport of Fortaleza is located at about 10 km from the centre of the city
and 168 kilometers of Quixaba. It receives daily flights from several
domestic and International capitals.

of Ceará has started to expand and modernize the Aracati airport. 600 meters will be added to the runway in order to receive international flights.
