KITESURFING
Many kitesurfers come in this part of the Ceará coast to take advantage of the wide flat water surfaces and the constant winds of the region.
At low tide, the mouth of the Jaguaribe river offers an area of 2x2 km of flat water surface and allows a 4 hours dream surfing time. It's considered one of the best kitesurf spot of Brazil.
In Canoa Quebrada, the main spot is located at the end of the beach, just after the Bom Motivo beach restaurant. Not recommended for beginners, the spot is ideal for downwing up to the Jaguaribe river.
The beaches of Majorlândia and Quixaba as well are appreciated by the kitesurfers

PARAGLIDING – Dual flights with Jerônimo
The story of gliding in Brazil began in the beginning of the seventies in Rio de Janeiro with the first delta wing pilot of the country: Luiz Claudio Mattos.
At the end of 1986 came the time of the paragliding in Brazil. This time, it was a Swiss pilot wo introduced this new practice: Gérome Bertand Saunier, best known as Jerônimo.
Jerônimo now lives in Canoa Quebrada (CE) and he flies almost everyday, taking passengers (dual flights) over the cliffs and the beach for an extraodinary sensation of liberty while discovering a stunning panorama. The departure of the flights take place near the Church Square, descending from Broadway to the beach. Good winds are a determining factor for the practice of paragliding. Normally the flights take place in the afternoon from 3 o'clock. The duration of a flight is about 15 to 20 minutes.
